Joelle Scintilla

With a master's degree in counselling psychology, Joelle has been a registered clinical counsellor since 2019, certified by the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors. Her professional journey includes serving as a high school counsellor from 2019 to 2022 and operating a successful online private practice specializing in communication, anxiety, trauma, and chronic illness since 2020. She has also worked as a high school science teacher and fish biologist.

Joelle is an active member of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and has authored two self-help books: The Conversation Guide (2021) and Managing Personal, Emotional, and Social Aspects of Chronic Illness: A Workbook (2023). Beyond her professional accomplishments, Joelle is committed to community service, volunteering her time to facilitate group therapy sessions for individuals living with chronic illnesses.

In her leisure moments, Joelle finds creative expression through music composition, handcrafts cold-process soap, and enjoys playing pool. She treasures quality time with her cherished companions - her loving husband, beloved cat, and loyal dog.
